Attention Illustrators!
I’m excited to announce the Illustration Friday Challenge, where you can share your work with your fellow artists and enter to win a copy of Drew Struzan‘s new tutorial DVD, Conceiving and Creating the Hellboy Movie Poster Art. Drew will be appearing on Episode 20 of the EFII Podcast to talk about his prolific career as well as the new DVD.
How to Enter
Participate in the weekly Illustration challenge on Illustration Friday every week during the month of February and share a link to your work in the comments section of the appropriate post here on EFII. I’ll be publishing a new post for each week and updating the following links, so you can just bookmark this page in order to return and join in the fun! (Update: You can enter Week 2 of the challenge right now!)
- Week 1 – (Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 4th)
- Week 2 – (Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 11th)
- Week 3 – (Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 18th)
- Week4 – (Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 25th)

How to Win
Your name will be entered into the drawing for every week that you participate. That means that if you complete the challenge all 4 weeks, you have 4 times the chance of winning! A winner will be selected at random from the artists who complete the challenge, and will be notified via email and announced on Episode 24 of the EFII Podcast on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010.
Want to participate without entering the contest?
That’s okay. Feel free to share a link to your work anyway. Just mention in your comments that you’d like to decline the prize. That way, everyone can show their work and check out the work of others even if they’re not interested in the DVD.
