Introducing ‘The Illustrated Section’
Today marks the official launch of The Illustrated Section, an online store for digital books featuring art and illustration. After a lot of work and collaboration with her fellow artists and content creators, Dani Jones has just released an exciting new project for both publishers and consumers of downloadable media related to all aspects of Illustration, called The Illustrated Section.
Here’s a little more info from the website:
The Illustrated Section is an online store for digital books featuring art and illustration.
Art, Stories, and Illustration
We specialize in distributing illustrated works such as comics and picture books. You will also find instruction books about the illustration business, art marketing, and drawing/painting.
One Format
All the digital books here are in PDF format. We have chosen the PDF because it is widely recognizable and readable. Unlike other ebook stores that are dependent on certain apps and devices, you can take your file anywhere and read it however you wish.
Independently Created
All of the books here are by independent creators. That means you can find content that you won’t find in your typical bookstore, including popular webcomics, one-of-a-kind picture books, and inspiring art instruction and tips. Everything here is brought to you directly from the creators themselves.
Why The Illustrated Section?
With the many independent artists, writers, comickers, and innovators that have been experimenting with selling ebooks and PDFs, there needs to be a central marketplace where creators can easily sell and promote such works and readers can conveniently browse and find them. The Illustrated Section hopes to collect all these works, put them in one place, and help promote the creators that are making them.
Whether you’d like to browse the growing selection or you’re interested in submitting your own work, you can find out a lot more here.
