Introducing EFII’s New Books & Audio Section

September 10, 2010

To complement the growing collection of useful resources here at EFII, I’m excited to unveil the new Books & Audio section!

There you’ll find favorites like 15 Steps to Freelance Illustration and EFII: Year One, as well as shorter, dirt-cheap audio segments of popular series such as 7 Elements of an Effective Portfolio Website, Fine-Tuning Your Portfolio, How to Educate Your Clients, and more!

Everyone likes to digest information differently, and that’s why I’m taking steps to present the best of EFII in multiple media. You can either read new articles every week here at the website, or listen to a selection of Audiobooks while working on your next masterpiece.

This is just another step towards making Escape from Illustration Island the best online resource for Illustrators everywhere!

You can access the current catalog in the Books & Audio section via the menu above, or just click here.

      Hi Thomas,

The Year One audiobook is a great idea. I have a lot more time for listening rather than reading (I like to listen to podcasts while at my day job) so having all those useful articles in audio format is really handy for me. I also imagine it will become my go-to audio whenever I run out of new material, can’t hear all those practical tips too many times.
      Thanks again!

Thanks Michelle. I think a lot of us are in a similar situation. Often, we have more time for listening while we work than we do for reading articles. I hope things like EFII: Year One and other future projects help with that. There’s an Audiobook version of ’15 Steps to Freelance Illustration’ already in the works as well.

        Cheers,
        Thomas
