I loved this episode. I recently got into the habit of tagging all my images with the intention of making them easier to find online. Of course this simultaneously makes them vulnerable to anyone who wants to use them for free.
I try to make a point of including my URL within the tag, but that info will be lost in copy of a copy of a copy.
I’ll definitely be registering all my images in the PLUS Registry. Anything that makes it easier for an Art Director to use my imagery can only be a good thing. What a great service… and a necessary one!
Thanks Mathew. I’m glad to have finally gotten Jeff on the show. Covering this topic on the show was way overdue. I too am very excited about the PLUS registry and I’m looking forward to see it develop over time. I think it was interesting when Jeff said that images are being used without your permission as soon as you publish them through sites like Google, etc.
Great interview, Thomas. This sounds like an incredible resource for artists. It’s really nice to have the Plus Coalition explained. Great job, Jeff!
