Featured Resource: Pictaculous Color Palette Generator
The other day, I came across an incredibly handy resource that was shared by @Theispot on Twitter.
It’s called Pictaculous, and it offers a quick and easy solution for finding and using color palettes based on any image uploaded by the user.
This can be useful for a number of tasks, such as designing a website or book cover that is in harmony with the main image, or even extracting the color palette from an image you love to apply to your own Illustrations.
All you have to do is upload an image, wait a few moments, and voila! Pictaculous generates the color palette of the image and makes additional suggestions that you can download and use in Photoshop. Personally, I prefer to take a screenshot of the results and bring that directly into Photoshop so that I could use the eyedropper tool to sample any color I want.
If you ever struggle with picking colors in your digital Illustrations, I highly recommend checking out Pictaculous.

Awesome tool. Thanks Thomas.
I wonder how it works to distill a palette from your work.
Thanks for that, could be quite useful.
