Yes Pam is listening and have passed your site on to others. Was wondering if you were going to mention the fact that you were a HE. I guess could look at it as a complement of your work , once you see the detail you have captured in your paintings, using a medium that alot of people know little about ,they paid little attention to the gender of the artist when they were writing up the article about your brilliant work.

Really impressed with his work. His wife is posing for him, great sense of humor! I have worked with Prismacolor and other pencil crayons but always come back to Prisma products as their line offers the best workability. For fine details their verithin pencil crayons are great can use alone depending on nature of drawing or can use with the prismacolor pencil crayon. I also like using their art stix that are in the same colors as the pencil crayons , not as many colors, but can use to cover big areas quickly on broad edges . To get a burnished look they also have a color blender in pencil form or in marker.

This is a great site. Thanks for sharing. Just stumbled on it will definately be bookmarking.

Wow! I'm so happy to see this posting. I keep toying with the idea of illustrating my own children's books, but I'm a freelance writer and poet, not a trained artist beyond childhood lessons and one college class. I love drawing with colored pencils but didn't think that would work for reproducing artwork. Thanks for the good info.

I just got prismacolor watercolor pencils, I love working with them and the end result looks great. Works really well when you have limited art supplies (I just moved and couldn't take much with me)

Good article about a very underrated medium!

This is a very good post! I LOVE Prismacolour pencils and up until very recently they were my main and favoured medium (now it's all gouache all the time!). This is actually quite close to my own method, although I don't actually DRAW with the coloured pencils themselves; I also like to lay down a thin layer of watercolour as a base on which to add the pencil colour rather than use half-tone paper.
