This looks like a great new toy for those who are able to get their hands on one, and it’s available for pre-order through the EFII Bookstore. I thought I’d pass the info along to my fellow Wacom lovers and share the details below:

Wow! I’m curious to read the reviews and see how well the bluetooth fairs under user tests and scrutiny. If it holds up and they make a smaller version, I’ll be all for it! I just love the form factor of my Wacom Bamboo, even with the wires!
So we’re basically getting closer to emulating those fine, precise, pressure-sensitive brush strokes that inkers and painters need so desperately in the digital realm? As an inker and embellisher, I’m still a little skeptical. I’ve seen some artists get pretty darn close to a finely laid brush stroke. I may have to check this new tablet out.
I don’t see the ability to turn the tablet around like a real piece of paper yet. I like to turn my board to get a proper curve to wrist movement. I have a model ET-0405-U Wacom tablet, never use it.
Excellent point. I do the same when inking. And I’ve seen tablets out there in which the screen is actually the tablet itself. Is this new Wacom pad like that, or just like all of the other Wacom pads before. Like you, I have a Wacom that I bought years ago, but almost never use it.
