I wish that when I first began established artists were as open and sharing as they are today. Having to figure out how to properly deal with illustration as a business (which was not taught in school) was tough. Many others I knew floundered and left the field because of it. That is really unfortunate. As someone who has worked in the field for 20 plus years, I find helping educate those coming up only helps strengthen our community as a whole. We all benefit from it.
