Drew Struzan is Coming to EFII
Hello fellow Illustrators!
A mail van just pulled up to my house and delivered 2 copies of Drew Struzan‘s new DVD, Conceiving and Creating the Hellboy Movie Poster Art. Those who aren’t familiar with the name Drew Struzan will remember his work on the movie poster Illustrations for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and many other greats.
Here’s more about the new video in Drew’s own words:
“The DVD is a full feature, 100 minute long video of my process in the production of a movie poster. This is no pretend session of painting. It is the actual process from concept design to finished painting and all the steps, techniques and thoughts in between as I produce the original Hellboy movie poster art.”
I am both excited and grateful for 3 reasons:
1. Drew Struzan is coming to the Escape From Illustration Island Podcast very soon.
2. I can’t wait to watch him at work on the tutorial DVD.
3. I’ll be giving away the other copy to an EFII listener/reader/community member.
