Thanks so much Thomas for this interview. I have been fascinated by Brian’s work since seeing it first on the web.
It’s great to hear his thought processes as he develops his work. I identified so much with the things being said. I thought I was the only one who zoned out after the music was over & worked on in a daze of creative glory! So much more. You really did help me feel that I’m not alone.
Can’t wait for next weeks!
Fantastic! Thank you, Thomas! I love Brian’s work and this interview gives such an insight into the creative process… *sigh*
Yeah, Brian, i’m a fan of his work for a looong time.
I totally understand what they teach you on school about technique: Nothing.
At the end you have to learn yourself how to paint.
It’s so nice to hear why Brian is working with robots in his paintings. Of course you automaticly indentify with the robots but now it’s explained.. it’s so clear.
There’s also an (chinese/japanese) artist who use babies …in his paintings. Because they are pure and are not fullgrown persons. I really like that idea.
Brian talks about different great painters.( Totally agree with Lori Early. Wow. She is great.) Can somebody write down the other artists? (From 41 minutes) I cannot hear it very clear…
Wonderful discribed how Brian wants to paint like they sing. NICE!
Thanks!
