Share Your Illustration

Since the What’s Your Twitter User Name? experiment went so well (and still is) I wanted to expand on the idea a little by inviting everyone to show off one image of their Illustration work in the comments below.
Here’s how it works:
1. Copy the URL of the image you want to share from your website, blog, flickr page, etc. If you dont’t know how to do this, watch this quick video tutorial. Please try to use images with smaller file sizes (under 500 KB) so that it doesn’t slow the page-loading.
2. Paste the image URL into the comments section below.
3. If you like, you can write a few lines telling us what you do and share the URLs to your website and/or blog.
4. Submit comment.
5. I’ll check in regularly to make the images show up. (You won’t see it right away when you post your comment. I’ll need to add the necessary code on my end to make it work.)
VOILA!
You image should soon appear in your post. I hope everyone enjoys sharing their Illustration with the community and checking out everyone else’s work. Be sure to check back here in the future to see who else has submitted their work.

Here’s my most recent Illustration, which shows the direction I’m going in these days with my digital paintings. You can find more of my work at http://thomasjamesillustration.com.
Okay, it works! Now it’s your turn. Have fun everyone!
Thomas
Love the fluid look of this Thomas – the perspective and colours are very cool too, love this direction your going in.
Thanks, Jonathan. I’m really trying to force myself to give myself permission to experiment as much as possible, now that I’ve learned the basic skills required to create an Illustration.
Cheers! And good luck in Thailand.
Thanks Thomas for letting us all post stuff. I enjoy meeting other artists since we are all spread out over the world. I like this picture you did. I envy the blur and swirl technique and painted look you have.
I love playing with the distorto tool too! great quirkiness! Are you combining physical & digital or straight digi?
Ever since I got my Wacom pad I’ve just gone crazy! can’t wait to share more & see more wonderful stuff!
I love all the contribution going on. Escape from illustration island you’re the greatest!
Hey, I like all the sharing that’s going here!
I create Krampus Kards annually for friends, family and associates and then I sell them the following year on my Etsy shop to regular humans. This year I’m cutting costs and creating a postcard (instead of single fold greeting cards) inspired by an actual old world xmas design from Czechoslovakia. And co-starring my cats. you can find more of my Krampus Kards here: http://krampuskards.blogspot.com/
THANKS!
This is a series of wine portraits I hope to continue and do in oil paint at some point.
Okay, I’m game…

Cheers and thanks to EFII.
I love the combination of innocent joy and tragedy in this piece. Thanks for participating!
Thomas
Great image. It inspires the imagination. I like images that seem to have an interesting narrative behind them.
This is my latest finished illustration. Illustrator and PhotoShop combo.
Thomas, great idea and great image.

Very cool Illustration. I like your style, Jeff. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
I have to agree. I you have a great style. Nice and clean with cool little details.
Aaarrrghh! This one be great too! I want to know what happens…does he jump or does he rescue the girl and take command of the ship?
This is really cool Jeff. I like illustrations that look like animated cartoons. I’m also a sucker for black outline, cell-shaded, slightly textured stuff ( ‘cuz that’s what I do). I’ll check out your site as soon as I’m done typing.
Mee to. I started thinking about the legend of Zelda Weindwaker. One of my favorite games.
Hi everyone! :) Great idea with sharing! Love it!
Here is my vector illustration of a dreaming cow “Dreaming high”. One of my favorites ;)

Come visit me on my blog (http://i-am-oksancia.livejournal.com) and Twitter (http://i-am-oksancia.livejournal.com/).
I love the idea and the colors!
Thank you, Bigeyes! :)
Hey Oksancia! Great stuff as always! I have been trying out some vector stuff too since we last talked. Clipping Masks are my best friend now! hahah
I like the freedom this one has – reminds me of Warner Bros. cartoons from the ’50s (in a good way!)
Thank you. I don’t know if I can imagine a bad way to be compared to 50′s Warner Bros. What was your favorite cartoon?
Hands down, Wile E Coyote
I was always a Daffy Duck fan. They seemed to go the most “far out” with his stuff, and he also worked very well with other “actors” like Porky and Bugs.
Hey man! Good to see you here on the site. Good stuff as always (I wish I could paint).
You should submit a link to your Flickr so people can take a look at your other work.
This is a quick piece of personal art from a series of illustrations I’m doing based on the book “Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH”.
I feel like I haven’t had anything new to show in awhile! I’m working on multiple projects right now, so I’m at that stage of having several illustrations in progress and nothing finished. :)
Wow. That’s really top-notch work. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Thomas! (and thank you for fixing my image link!)
I’ve been enjoying the podcast, but only recently had a chance to start poking around the site. :)
That’s a very beautiful piece!
Beautiful illustration – I love crows and I love this!
Remember this from when I was a kid. The movie had just come out. Thanks for the memories, and this is a beautiful rendition!
Absolutely gorgeous work!
Well, I’ll try one. This came out in Dungeon magazine back in August, and is notable for two reasons (I guess). First, it was my premier work for Wizards of the Coast (yay!) and second, for those who saw my digital painting seminar at SDCC in July, this was the centerpiece of that presentation.

(© 2009 Wizards of the Coast LLC)
nice. My brother in law has this. good things good things
Thanks!!
Never has such a thing of beauty left me so afraid for my life. Well played, Patrick.
Thank you sir. I live to scare, and scare to live.
I was there! I enjoy your work Patrick and your presentations. Caught it at Wondercon too last Feb. in Frisco.
Enjoy Nija mountain too! Does Socar Drink a lot? :o)
I did this one last year for an ad for my day job. It was a nice departure from my usual spot color, pen & ink-looking t-shirt art I usually do.
This was one of my first 100% digital illustrations.

This is very good!
..that is one MAD SCIENTIST… I am afraid to ask what he is doing with the human torso in the beaker…!
This is a great site and a nice idea to share images! This is a pencil illustration for a personal project.
My website is http://www.katrionachapman.com
Amazing composition, and in pencil!!!! Got the birds in great angles.
Thanks Gonzalexx! I’m obsessed with pencil ;)
Hey Kat – Lovely work as always.
Wow dude! People who can actually draw are becoming a hot commodity on the illustration market.
I really hope that’s true Matti! I’d love to be a hot commodity
This is a page from my self-published children’s book called “If I could be anything…

Done in Painter IX and Photoshop CS2 (I know, I’m so outdated)
I love Illustrations like this that bring out the kid in all of us. Thanks for sharing!
I just checked out the book Mark. Awesome! I’t looks full of character. I’ve got a four year old whose going to love this book. Have you thought of Tabling at Wondercon or other cons? I bet you’d do well. Great book trailer too!
I really love his one. The movement, the action, colors, it’s great!
Excellent pieces, everyone. Very beautiful stuff!
This Barn Owl illustration is the style I’m now settling into and is from a set of 12 British Birds I’m working on.
Great idea yet again Thomas – some awesome results so far too with the great illustrations everyone has been sharing.
Cheers,
Jonathan
Hey Jonathan, this piece is gorgeous. Is it cut paper?
Thanks Mark – it is cut paper.
Love your illustration too – it really captures that unbridled imagination that we all have when we were kids. The book sounds great, is it out yet?
Cheers,
Jonathan
It is out. The only place I have it at is http://www.harmonillustration.etsy.com
I’ve been taking it to book fairs and such. I’m 99% done with a GIRL version of the same concept. This one that is out only has boys in it.
hi Jonathan,
wow, how lovely! Gorgeous work!!!!
I love owls (might be partial cause I am a night owl myself:)
Zaara
I love the way you use the textures of the photos to create another one.
Great!
I’m so glad you decided on this style. Your already rockin’ it. I can’t wait to see where your going to take it to. Thanks for sharing your awesome illustration and also on the podcast. I’m going part time at my day job to pursue a freelance illustration career on the first of the year, and hearing you talk on the podcast was very inspiring.
-Jeremy Gregory
Agreeing with Jeremy, thanks for all the great info & encouragement in the podcast segment. You are getting me to appreciate cut paper stuff. Your other pieces on your site are even better! It’s fascinating.
@Bigeyes – Thanks Laura. I love the bold use colour in your artwork, lovely stuff.
@batteryjuicer @sksambo123 – Hey guys, thanks so much for the kind words about the podcast and my work, means a lot and is very encouraging. Best of luck with the freelance illustration Jeremy, it’s cool to hear about others going for their illustration dreams too.
I love this owl! beautiful colors and great textures! I saw your blog and it´s really interesting for me, that I´m starting!
Greetings! My name is Melinda and I like to draw!

Mainly my illustrations are bold, bright, and some will say that the focus of my work is pure evil. Ha! kidding! Much of my work tends to be humorous, weird, a little dark but most times, light-hearted.
Thanks to Thomas for this great site and inviting us to introduce ourselves! Cheers!
Thanks Melinda! Nice job with the exhaust. Humorous but believable.
Great idea and thanks for the outlet. Cool stuff everybody.
This is a creature design from the forgotten forest.

Here is the link to my blog: http://www.denverwagner.blogspot.com/
I like how well the simple flat background shapes work in this piece to add depth. Well done.
Fun idea!
recent drawing, trying to look at a new direction for my work. :)
Hey Melanie,
I’m a big fan of your gorgeous work.
Cheers,
Jonathan
I love how fluid your linework is and how expressive the pose and face are. Beautiful!
Hey Melanie, I love your style! And this one just kicks it up a notch further. I remember seeing your work posted up somewhere, Monster Maintenance Manual submission. Very distinct and memorable :)
-Brendan
Love this! Everyone’s work is a feast for my eyes . . .
I’m on Twitter @ http://twitter.com/3dwolf
This artwork is the end result of an interesting challenge for a gallery exposition called “Fission of Forms”. The show is publicized as a 3-way collaboration between the Society of Sculptors (SOS), Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange (PPE), and the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators (PSI). Its purpose is to bring about a “transfer of energy”. The work produced by a talented assembly of sculptors are handed off to a skilled cadre of poet’s to inspire their literary compositions. Each resulting verse is assigned to an illustrator who construct an illustration without ever seeing the original sculpture that gave rise to the poem. The intent of the show is not to attempt a re-creation of the unseen piece of sculpture but rather for all participants to tap into a progressive flow of creative energy. The final show married up all three pieces of sculpture, poem and illustration, offering a tremendously intriguing exhibition.
Watch as this illustration progressively builds from a little yellow 3D sphere to finished piece.

I’m a digital artist who has been working in the games industry for over ten years dipping his feet into this exciting realm of illustration! Great work shown guys!
My website with more examples >> http://www.calebsalisburyart.com
This part of a pen and ink. I’m an illustrator, new to the game, still trying to find my voice. I work in pen and ink, photoshop, and some painter. You can find me on twitter where my handle is “MarkCalifornia.” thanx.
Hey Mark. Is this the same Mark California that I hear about on A&S ALIVE!? Really cool style you have going on. I know that this is sort of a stupid thing to say to another artist, but this piece has the same feel to it as a Tony DiTerlizzi or a Brett Helquist. Ever heard of ‘em? You might like their stuff.
Yes that is me, as for Tony DiTerlizzi and Brett Helquist, I haven’t seen their work. I’m more influenced by Ashley Wood, Heinrich Kley, Johnathan Wayshak, and Joseph Clement Coll. The piece above is more Wayshak influenced and is very different from other aspects of my work.
i work in mixed media, often all at the same time! thanks for peeking. ;-)
realy nice!
thanks for sharing.
Just a little something I did. I’m a student at St. John’s University in NY and i’m studying illustration. Here’s some mostly fine arts work on my website http://davidmerrique.com/
David I just took a look at your site and I just want to say Bravo! You are developing a very strong technique and this obviously informs your character design here which I think is fabulous! I want to see more of this Lill guy and the world your building for him! Keep up the great work!
Oh, why not. =) (First time commenting here, BTW, but I’m slowly working my way through the podcast archives…)

I’m Kim, a recent illustration grad from the Toronto area. I do mostly narrative and children’s type illustration, but also seem to suffer from a total inability to stick to one style, which is demonstrated at my blog: http://blog.otherskies.net My portfolio is http://www.kimsokol.com
This is going to be a great group Thomas! I hope it’s OK for a working stiff to put his ten cents in.

Can’t wait to get a chance to check out & comment on every ones work. How do you up load an image straight to the site like some have? Just wondering.
Hello Samuel. I’m taking care of making the images show up from my end, since WordPress only allows site administrators to do certain things through the comments. You should see your Illustration now.
Nice expression in this piece, by the way.
Oops! I guess if I slow down and read the instructions first my face wouldn’t be so red. Thanks Thomas!
I love this character and the exaggerated expression. I can’t wait to see more of your work. Thanks for posting.
Jeremy Gregory
Thanks Jeremy! The Day of the dead butterfly puppet show looks very interesting. And your stuff up on flicker WOW! the paintings on found objects , the wheelchair and the doors & such are too cool. Great board designs & portraits, Much success in your artistic career.
This is the main character for children’s show I created, “The Adventures of Alex the Ape” the show went as far as the pilot stage and was later optioned by Porchlight Entertainment, unfortunately it was never developed into a series, still one of my favorite characters I have designed.
Great character design Scott – reminds me of a primate Indiana Jones :)
Would love to have seen the pilot episode of this – is it online anywhere?
Thanks Jonathan, Primate Indiana Jones was kind of the look I was going for, glad that came across. I’m going to look into getting a You Tube account and I will see if I can throw something up the show was actually live action (costume characters and puppets) If your interested there is more info on the property on my website…

Fun. One thing I like about this, is that it isn’t an assignment. i miss out on a lot of those because I don’t have time to work on stuff I’m not already… working on.
Anyway, I was asked to do this by close of business one day. Think it came out nice considering the few hours I had to work on it. Enjoy!
Nice crisp execution. Is this a straight digital painting?
Yep, with the exception of a photo of a concrete texture laid into the wall. Its less an ‘illustration’ (no real layout, story, etc.) and more of an exercise in technique than anything else. In the end, its purpose isn’t much more than just being a fancy icon. But after it was all said and done, I liked it enough to want to share. What can you do?
This is one image did for Illustration Friday,I’m quite new to children illustrations.you can find also other kind of works in my and my boyfriend site:

You really pulled of the intense color scheme well with this Illustration. Very very cool. I also really dig the hair design repeated in the foliage along the side of the road. I always love details like that. Thanks for posting!

Winter Solstice-themed drawing/collage; a little old, because I got distracted by a lot of design work lately, but now I’m trying to re-vamp my folio.
There’s some really fantastic stuff up here, loved looking through all these illustrations, good idea. I feel quite humbled to share mine but this is my latest project.
Recent illustration for Electric Ant zine #2 http://electricantzine.com/ based on Japanese 70′s awesome movie “Hausu”

Nice Beetlejuice Coraline Dead Man’s Party stuff going on in this one. I love it!
Thanks for the compliment on the podcast. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
an illustration about metal music, for a magazine. i’m really happy how this one turned up.
Nice idea, Thomas.
Love the diagonal movement in this one. The dynamic color scheme really helps the mood as well.
I really like this one! You should put up a link to your site if you have one. Would love to see more of your work.
Hey Ramon,
You can just click on his name and it will magically sweep you off to his site. Great work indeed!
Rodrigo, this is one of my favs on this page so far. One thing about the compostion I wanna point out: there’s a huge parallel between the angles of the two guitars (and the players bodies). I think if you had them at a divergent angle it would energize the composition more.
I know it’s probably sent off to the printer at this point, and I’m not tryin to be a h8r. I already love the piece. I just had to share a small tweak that could put the whole thing over edge of 100% awesome.
Hello and great work everyone! Thanks for making this a section.
Here is an illustration I did using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop of a bear enjoying the snow. He really should be hibernating, but I guess he just bought a new coat and wanted to use it.

Excellent work, Korey! Just visited your site. Inspiring to see.
A promo piece I did that is typical of my style- kitsch-y, collage-y, messy.

Your figures have a very expressive quality! I like it.
I’ve been arround your page. I really apreciate the expressions on the faces. Great job!
Mikela I love your style! Great effect with mixing what is truly well done representative work & simplification & even abstraction. It has an amazing energy. Really like the beauty parlor scene and the young teen in curlers with chiding siblings. Great stuff.
You folks are great! An honor to post something the same space.
So here we go… (hope posting two images is ok)
I’m Jose Gonzalez, a total part-time beginner with an art thing, learning to draw, and starting to play with other media.
So I’m mostly about pencils right now.

And here’s my first all-digital attempt. A toast to all of you!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
And learning to post as well…
Pencils… and first complete digital attempt…
And all-digital first attempt…
These are really good Gonzalexx! The pencil one has great lighting and I like the textures in the bat. Make more!!!!
Thanks Korey! I’m learning to handle the digital side of drawing and coloring, and anything is game when I get a chance. This particular bat reminds me of other I’ve seen, but can’t quite place… like a bunch of bats, kind of dignified, at some party or something. Done in dark colors, with skinny limbs, maybe just b/w. Don’t know. Will keep them in mind next time I go at it… maybe pencils.
Hey Gonzalexx,
These are great – love the foreboding mood you’ve created with the lighting on the pencil piece – looks like it could be from Hansel & Gretel or Little Red Riding Hood!
Thanks Jonathan! I dig your work as well. You hit on something… kids stories and darkness… I think of doing kids-illustrations sometimes… many experiments in my search which is just beginning.
Love the old children’s storybook illustrations!.
Thanks again!
Here’s a pen & ink piece from earlier this year. I did it for Illustration Friday
You can see for on flickr under ebonart
I saw this on illustrationfriday.com. You inking is awesome.

This looks great, Jeremy. Would like to see a bigger version, to check out some detail.
Is it for a graphic novel?
I’m really happy with the way this page came out. It has to be one of my favorites so far. I really like the expressions and acting I was able to pull off. There are still little things I would like to fix but some times you gotta let things go and move on. If you gotta a chance and wanna check it out with text check out the page on my website.
This is a current piece. Watercolor on gesso.
There are some outstanding images here.
Thanks for setting this up.
Amazing the tones and the shades… lots of patience I’m sure!
Beautiful! You nailed the likeness and Tommy’s craggy old skin so perfectly!
Hi Everyone… I love this site. Thank you Thomas, I love all your great info!

Thank you Jon!
This illustration was for City Arts Magazine October 09.The story was about how the monarch butterflies migrate back south for the winter protection of the oyamel fir trees, and that they migrate in around the day of the dead so the people believe that the souls of their loved ones are in the butterflies. My illustration is a shot from a musical puppet show (That I made up) called El Amor En El Viaje or Love on the Journey

Nice work, Jeremy. Really cool concept, composition, and color scheme. Thanks for joining in!
Great illustration!!! I’d like to be able to see more detail… do you have another link?
Thanks you guys. And here is a link to a bigger file for gonzalexx.

Thanks man! Love the skeletons. and the cracked paint background, and is that chalk strokes?! Looks great!
Awesome work Jeremy – I love the story behind the concept and the execution of the illustration is amazing. I love the all the texture too. Best of luck with the imminent launch into your illustration career in the new year.
Thanks Johnathan. I appreciate it.
This piece, called Punched Out, was exhibited at the Brave New Worlds gallery as part of the Autumn Society’s Video Game Show in Philadelphia. You can see a bunch more of my work on my site as well as the comic I recently wrote and illustrated called First Fight.

Whoops…forgot the link on that.
“A Partridge in a Pear Tree” – an illustration for a gallery show that I’m in next month. I’m doing a set of twelve 4″x6″ prints based on the twleve days of Christmas. They’re all going to be really weird. Created using Illustrator, Photoshop & drawing tablet.
A piece I did for a corporation party invite, to be sent out as postcards.
Here is one of my illustrations that I created within the last few months. I would appreciate critique: andalee@designdelavie.com

Thank you!
Looks great! The only thing I’d do would be to eliminate the abrupt angle on the bottom, change it to soft curves to match the composition, that’s all. Excellent! All you folks are pros!
The third in a series of Art Nouveau style robots–

–plenty more coming down the factory line.
Really great getting to discover new talent like this Thomas– Please send my best to the Escapee…:]
Find more recent sketches at my blogor see my site. Thanks!
Hey Chris,
I had to go get the image from your blog. Let me know if this is the one you were trying to submit, as I went from your description. If not, I’ll fix it.
As a huge fan of both Mucha and robots, I really love this idea. Now if I could only go back in time and come up with it before you did :)
Thanks for joining in.
Thomas
Thanks for fixing that Thomas– yes, that is the one! Sorry to put you thru the hassle of fixing my poor HTML skillz- :P
Art Noveau robots? Sign me up! That style with “tech” stuff… never thought of that.. maybe seen it implied, but never thought about it like that. Simply awesome stuff.
Love it!
Howdy Chris,
Thomas passed on your greeting to me, so I thought I’d stop by and say hello. Great color scheme in your Illustration. You know I love those blue, moody color palettes.
Cheers,

My latest piece titled “Resurrection Rex.” Created as a gray scale piece in Sketchbook Pro 2010 and finished off in Photoshop CS3.
Hello Rhett,
If you can paste the image address, which will end with “jpg”, then I can make it show up here.
Thanks!
Thomas
This is a wonderful idea mate, and there’s certainly lots of quality work here!
My website is http://www.endsofinvention.biz.
See you around :)
Phill
Beautiful work! Just curious, is the subject “abused” (eye, lip)? or is it just the way it scanned or rendered in jpg? It’s still awesome!
Hi Jose,
Thanks for the feedback! :)
She is indeed abused. She was one of a pair of images I did foe a group project which was based around the book 2Harris’s List Of Covent Garden Ladies: Sex in the City in Georgian Britain” by Haille Rubenhold. The book is a list, with descriptions of, the prostitutes of that area with descriptions of their services. There is a Facebook page for some of the images collected together.
Thanks for the opportunity! This is one of my recent illustrations. Its a personal piece inspired in the Dark Tower books by Stephen King.

This is very cool, Lucienne. Great color scheme and delicate figure drawing. Thanks for posting!
Here’s one I made the other day just for fun. I really thought I could doodle in Illustrator without turning it into a finished image.

Hi gang…. here’s one of my latest creations, the new mascot for J&D Foods – one of my clients I’ve been doing a great deal of packaging for. This pose is taken from the packaging for BaconPOP, a new Bacon-Flavored Microwave Popcorn!

Here’s one of the paintings for my book that’s never done…
Good idea Thomas thanks!
I like lighting as well as the composition of this piece – great stuff. The composition gives it a bit of an eery feel since you don’t know what she’s gazing at.
Thanks Bryan!
Beautiful, ethereal work David!
Thank you so much Amanda. Love your birds!
A lot of great stuff up here!!

Suppose I’ll throw up something, too.
This is the newest thing that I have that isn’t a sketch card,
This is just a personal piece. Based off of my fond memories of Mario Bros. 3
I love it. Great vignette of the best of Mario.
I love the hills and the interesting perspective.
Brings about fond memories indeed.
I am currently updating my portfolio, this is one image out of a series I am creating titled,’ Interwoven’.
Interwoven is a self initiated project that pursues an exploration into seamlessly combining the form of both synthetic and organic elements. This new series of work displays maturity in the artist’s mark making despite being influenced by previous approaches to his imagery.
The series will consist of all original drawings, featuring with what could be described as provocative overtones.
Hope you enjoy looking at my work,
Stuart

This is a page from my picture book-in-progress, “Flying”. I’m currently working on this pretty constantly; I will be posting further pages on my blog soon:

I’m trying to be diligent and keep up to date on my blog.
This site is incredibly helpful and I will try to participate regularly here, also. Great to meet y’all!
I really like your tasteful use of color, Amanda. All your work seems to have a nice, cohesive nature to it.
Hi. I graduated from college with a degree in illustration. My style was very personal and editorial. I needed a job so immediately I started working as a graphic designer. For the past 23 years I worked as a graphic designer doing the usual brochure and corporate collateral materials, etc.
So my dream of becoming a full time illustrator kept getting a low priority. Now 23 years later I feel the need to get out there and show my work and get illustration assignments and not just design.
My influences are Dali, Manara, Caravaggio, Ruben, Titian among other classical and modern artists.
Hope to hear some comments.
thank you

Thanks for sharing, Greg. This is a really nice card Illustration. Great use of the mulit-colored figures on the more monochromatic background.
This is a very simple, vector style that I like but seldom pursue (usually it’s more intricate and using a pen). Did this “Santa With Problems” series to practice that.

lovely work!
My name is Anthony M. Grimaldi, freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I only just discovered this site and am amazed and happy to learn of its existence. I’m very interested and excited to submit my work to “Share Your Illustration” for professional peer review and criticism. The particular piece I’m submitting is a tattoo design and is located at the following URL: http://journeymandesigns.daportfolio.com/gallery/211373#2

I look forward to any and all comments and continued interaction with all the artist currently involved and submitting to the site!
I was into the “stipple” technique before illustrating this, and so applied it here to this piece that adorned the wine menu of an Italian restaurant in NYC. The restaurant is now gone and so is their wine and menu. I never saved a copy of the menu for records or portfolio purposes. Simple but grave mistake. What do you think?

Hi Thomas,
Yea, I like the style of your painting because the image has a nice
a painterly feel. It’s very surreal and seems to be a popular style with
many illustrators out there. I would continue your exploration.
