Best of EFII – October 2009
Hello everyone!
October was a huge month at Escape From Illustration Island.
I want to take a moment to share with you some of the exciting developments that took place at EFII during the month of October. In addition to the new site design and a dramatic increase in the number of features here, we also moved into the Community phase of EFII, becoming more than just a resource website.
Here are some of the things that made October so great at EFII:
- The complete redesign of the website to a lighter, more attractive, and user-friendly interface.
- The Wacom Tablet Giveaway
- The Breaking Into Freelance Illustration Book Giveaway
- Great Podcast Interviews with Chris Oatley, Ninja Mountain, Jonathan Woodward, and Holly DeWolf
- The creation of the Illustration Resource Library, to organize the over 200 Illustration Resources here at EFII
- The birth of Escapee Speaks, providing Illustration advice and inspiration
- The start of the EFII Community’s Twitter User Name collection
- The first Community Member of the Month, Jose Gonzalez
