The New Illustration Resource Library

Hello EFII Community!

Today I’d like to introduce you to the new Illustration Resource Library, accessible via the Resources tab in the menu bar near the top of the page.  I have created this new organizational format because there are now over 200 Illustration Resource links here at EFII, which is making it a little more difficult to find what you’re looking for.  The list in the sidebar seems to go on forever.

However, this is your chance to speak out!

If you still like the list of resources hanging out in the sidebar, tell me now in the comment section below this post, because I don’t want to take it away if enough of you still find it useful.  If this is the case, I’ll keep both formats running, so that you can search for resources the way that works best for you.  Otherwise, I’ll get rid of the sidebar list and keep the new library.

For me, I need some sort of breakdown of general categories, especially with the list getting so large.

I hope everyone likes the new setup.  I’m open to listen to any suggestions anyone might have, in the interest of making Escape From Illustration Island the best it can be.

UPDATE: Thanks to a great idea from Matt Bacon in the comments, I’ve added a Browse All button to the Library categories, for those who want it all at once.

Thanks!

Thomas James

I like the idea. Breaking lists down into groups always helps. Could you also add a Browse All button which takes you to a page where everything is listed . Kinda cover you bets that way.

    cheers,

    Matt

And it’s color coded! I think this is a much better system of orginization, though if you think anything might be cross-category, I might stick it in two trees.

Thanks, Zach. I agree that somethings might be better placed in more than one category.
