Resource Review – ArtBloom
The tagline for ArtBloom , “A Showcase of Artistic Evolution”, really captures the essence of what’s so great about this website.
ArtBloom is unlike any other online artist community in that it encourages participants to go beyond the usual practice of sharing their latest, best work. Instead, everyone is invited to submit a series of pieces that represent the ways that their work has grown or changed over time. You won’t find anywhere else on the internet where artists are showing work they they have come to despise, but that also shows how far they have come. Indeed, it is sometimes astonishing how different an artist’s early work is from their more recent endeavors.
Nowhere else will you find a more encouraging sign that art is a work in progress, and that no matter how much you may undervalue your current talents, you too can apply yourself to becoming more skilled and inspired through the simple act of taking another step.
Thank you, ArtBloom.
And thanks to Chelsea Conlin for sharing this site via Twitter.

Thank you sir, and thanks for the awesome podcast and resources!
I LOVE things like this. It’s hard sometimes looking at really good art and thinking “I’ll never get where they are” – sites like this help you see that those people don’t usually start out fabulous either. Thanks for sharing!
